Sam died suddenly at just five years old from heart failure whilst happily playing at a fruit farm. This tragedy was the catalyst for Tom and Donna to look for ways to bring hope and love into the lives of children and families who have also suffered with trauma, loss and their health and wellbeing.

Donna is a trained drama therapist and has put together a mental health and wellbeing programme called The Listening Stone. This is designed to be taken into schools so we can work alongside head teachers to help tackle the increasing number of issues our young people are facing.

Our projects abroad have focused on creating safe spaces called Sam’s House, where children can come together draw, paint, sing, hear stories and play. By creating these spaces it allows the children who have experienced trauma and loss to start to process what has happened.
